Zynonym

Image

Zynonym was conceived as a modern twist on the beloved game “Password,” with the goal of making it accessible and exciting for mobile users. The app features two main modes: a single-player mode where the player guesses the word based on clues generated by the computer, and a multiplayer mode where friends can challenge each other by sending custom clues. The backend, powered by Firebase, handles real-time gameplay and data storage, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience.

One of the key features currently in development is the integration of AI to generate more sophisticated and challenging clues and answers, making the gameplay even more unpredictable and engaging. Additionally, I am working on incorporating Google Sign-In and social media account integration through Firebase, which will allow users to easily find and connect with friends, enhancing the social aspect of the game. Although Zynonym is still a work in progress, it already shows great potential as a fun and addictive mobile game that appeals to a wide audience.

My Role

As the sole developer of Zynonym, I am responsible for every aspect of the project, from initial concept and design to coding and deployment. My primary focus has been on building the app using Expo and React Native to ensure a smooth and consistent user experience across both iOS and Android devices. On the backend, I’ve leveraged Firebase to handle user authentication, real-time database management, and cloud storage, enabling fast and reliable gameplay. In addition to the core functionality, I am also leading the efforts to enhance the app with advanced features. The integration of AI to generate clues is one of the most exciting developments, as it promises to add a new level of depth and challenge to the game. I am also working on implementing Google Sign-In and social media integration to make it easier for users to connect with friends and start new games. Throughout the development process, I’ve been committed to iterating on the design and functionality to create an app that is not only fun to play but also technically robust and scalable. Zynonym represents a significant personal project where I am able to apply my skills in mobile development, database management, and user experience design. As I continue to develop and refine the app, I am excited to see how it will evolve and reach a broader audience.
