The Pittsburgh Innovation District is a hub for technological advancements and economic development, dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration within the region. To effectively communicate their mission and showcase the district’s projects and partnerships, they needed a modern, user-friendly website. Developed using WordPress, the site serves as a comprehensive resource for stakeholders, investors, and the broader community, providing key information about the district’s initiatives, resources, and impact.

As the developer on this project, I worked closely with designers to bring their vision to life, ensuring that the website was not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. The site features a clean, contemporary design with intuitive navigation, making it easy for visitors to explore the district’s offerings, learn about ongoing projects, and stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities.

My Role

As the developer for the Pittsburgh Innovation District website, I was responsible for translating the design team’s concepts into a fully operational WordPress site. My role included coding and implementing the site’s various features, customizing the WordPress theme to match the district’s branding, and ensuring that the user experience was both engaging and intuitive.

I worked closely with the design team to integrate necessary plugins, enhance the site’s functionality, and develop a content management system that the Pittsburgh Innovation District team could easily manage. I also prioritized making the site fully responsive, ensuring that it performed well across all devices, and optimized it for speed and search engine performance.

This project allowed me to leverage my technical skills in WordPress development while collaborating with a talented design team to deliver a polished, impactful website.
