Ripple
Ripple is a thoughtfully designed app that encourages users to make a positive impact on the world through mindful, small-scale actions. Developed entirely by myself during a hack-a-thon, Ripple helps users track their eco-friendly habits, such as turning off lights, conserving water, recycling, and reducing energy consumption. The app provides a user-friendly interface where individuals can log their actions and monitor their environmental footprint over time.
Ripple features a scoring system that tracks your impact month to month, giving you a tangible way to see how your efforts contribute to environmental sustainability. The app visualizes the cumulative effect of these small actions, offering motivation and insights into how consistent, mindful habits can lead to significant positive changes. Ripple is more than just a tracker; it’s a tool that empowers users to be more conscious of their environmental impact and encourages a sustainable lifestyle.

My Role
As the sole developer of Ripple, I took on the challenge of creating this app during a hack-a-thon, managing all aspects of its development from the initial concept to the final product. My primary focus was on creating a seamless user experience that would make it easy and engaging for users to log their actions and track their environmental impact. I designed and developed the app’s interface using Swift, ensuring that the app was both intuitive and visually appealing.
Throughout the hack-a-thon, I was responsible for the full development process, including coding, UI/UX design, and testing. The result was an app that not only met the hack-a-thon’s criteria but also served as a meaningful tool for promoting sustainability and encouraging positive environmental actions.
